Peak Roofing was founded in 2009 by a Charlotte-area roofer who had spent a decade working for larger companies and kept seeing the same problem: homeowners being oversold, under-informed, and left with roofs that did not live up to the promises made at estimate time.
The solution was simple in theory and demanding in practice — build a company where the estimate you receive is the price you pay, where the crew that shows up is the one that was described, and where the roof that gets installed is the one that was specified. No subcontractors on production jobs, no bait-and-switch material upgrades, no disappearing after the check clears.
Seventeen years later, that commitment is still the only thing we advertise. GAF Master Elite certification, a BBB A+ rating, and 800+ completed roofs are the evidence — but the real measure is the percentage of our business that comes from referrals. GAF Master Elite Contractor
Only the top 3% of roofing contractors in North America earn GAF Master Elite status. It requires ongoing training, proof of insurance, and a verified reputation for quality. It is the only certification that qualifies homeowners for GAF's strongest warranty — the Golden Pledge.
BBB Accredited — A+ Rating
We have maintained an A+ rating with the Better Business Bureau throughout our history. The BBB A+ rating reflects our record of resolving customer complaints quickly, operating with transparency, and standing behind our warranty commitments when issues arise.
Owens Corning Preferred Contractor
Owens Corning Preferred status means we meet their requirements for training, licensing, and customer satisfaction standards. It expands the warranty options available to our customers and reflects our familiarity with Owens Corning's complete shingle and accessory product lines.
NC Licensed Contractor
We hold a North Carolina General Contractors license and are current on all required continuing education. Every Peak Roofing project is completed by or under the direct supervision of a licensed contractor, and we pull all required building permits without exception.
SC Licensed Contractor
We hold South Carolina residential and commercial contractor licenses for our York County service territory, including Fort Mill and Rock Hill. SC licensing requires separate examination and insurance requirements — we are fully compliant for all South Carolina work.
Fully Insured — NC & SC
We carry $2 million general liability and workers compensation coverage for all employees and subcontractors in both North Carolina and South Carolina. We provide certificates of insurance on request and never ask homeowners to take on risk that should rest with the contractor.

Honest Assessments
We tell you what your roof actually needs — not what generates the largest invoice. If a repair is the right answer, we say so. Our reputation is built on recommendations from homeowners who trust what we tell them.
Transparent Pricing
Every estimate is itemized and fixed-price. No "we found additional issues" charges after work starts — unless we discover something that could not have been known at estimate time, and that scenario is discussed openly before any additional work is done.
Our Own Crews
We do not subcontract production labor. The crew that shows up is a Peak Roofing team — background-checked, trained on our systems, and accountable to our standards. The person who sold your job is reachable when work is happening.
Premium Materials Only
We install GAF and Owens Corning products exclusively. We do not substitute materials to protect margin. The shingle on your estimate is the shingle on your roof — and we provide the delivery receipt to prove it.
Clean Jobsites
We clean at the end of every work day and perform a final magnetic nail sweep at project completion. Your driveway, lawn, and landscaping are treated as carefully as your roof. We have never left a job without removing every piece of debris.
Warranty That Sticks
Our workmanship warranty is written, not verbal. We register your manufacturer warranty immediately after installation. When issues arise — and in 17 years, they occasionally do — we respond promptly and resolve them completely.

Peak Roofing's growth has been deliberate and organic — driven by referrals rather than advertising, and shaped by the lessons each year of experience has taught us about what Charlotte homeowners actually need from a roofing contractor.
We have weathered six Charlotte storm seasons that sent thousands of homeowners to the phone at once. We have navigated supply chain disruptions, crew shortages, and a global pandemic without missing a scheduled project start date by more than 48 hours. We have completed roofs on homes with every imaginable architectural challenge — from steeply pitched Victorian mansions in Dilworth to sprawling low-slope commercial buildings in Mooresville.
What we have not done is grow faster than our ability to maintain quality. We have turned down more work than most companies our size have booked — because we would rather complete 80 roofs exceptionally than 200 roofs adequately.
